You'll meet your tour guide and the rest of your group in central Edinburgh. From there, head out of the city to begin an adventure through some of Scotland's most awe-inspiring scenery. Your first stop is The Kelpies: an incredible feat of engineering in the form of two thirty-foot-high horse head sculptures made from steel, and based on a folklore tale. You'll learn the incredible backstory behind their mythical counterparts from your knowledgeable guide. Next, you'll travel to Stirling, where you'll have two free hours to explore the city and pay a visit to the famous castle. As you traverse the cobbled streets, you'll discover the old town charm that makes Stirling such a beautiful place to visit. Next, you and your group will hop back in the coach to head further in to Loch Lomond. Stop for lunch at either Aberfoyle or Balmaha, and enjoy some free time exploring the scenery. Finally, you’ll head to the most exciting stop of the day: Glengoyne Distillery. This family owned distillery is split between the Highlands and the Lowlands of Scotland, and has been producing whisky for 200 years. You’ll sample a dram or two as you hear about their long and storied history, and learn about how this unique spirit is made. If you’d prefer not to partake in the tastings, you can explore Dumgoyne Hill behind the distillery, where you’ll discover a waterfall and secret glen.
